Bible lessons & ‘teen’ numbers

In light of the way the world seems to be heading lately, I have decided the girls are old enough now to start learning more about the bible.  We have started with a topic of interest ‘Heaven’.

The girls drew our house (where we live on earth) and their idea of heaven after we did a bit of research on what heaven might be like.  Then we made a river of ‘sin’ which we often fall into, but then we made a bridge (a cross made of paddle pop sticks) that signifies that Jesus is the only way to Heaven.

I also noticed that Miss 6 needed revision of the teen numbers since signing her up for  so we made playdough numbers.

We made number muffins from the dough & the girls played shops/bakery with teen numbers as money.

Of course we did our usual revision and writing/spelling practise using Jolly Phonics flashcards, workbooks, dvd and bingo game (recent;y aquired) as well as other workbooks.
