Space cadets & astronauts

Although we continued our journey through the solar system, Miss 6 took an interest in the astronaut aspect of things so we decided to pull out ALL THOSE BOXES I had collected over time, filling up the bottom of my pantry, and make the parts of an astronaut suit.

The girls spread out on the floor and got busy making air tanks, masks and helmets.

Miss 6 choose astronaut Anna Fisher from a list of profiles on the NASA website because she liked her name (he he he) and she liked the fact that she worked in the Payload part of the shuttle. Here she is on a space walk doing repairs to the satelite MESSENGER orbiting planet Mercury.

She also did a mass of paintings about space, all of which would not fit on the fridge.
