Our flight plan continues….

In the evenings, the girls have been helping their Dad build a Flicka Glider model plane from Balsa wood – they do a little each night. Its not finished yet….

We started the morning by watching a You tube video of the C-17 Globemaster military plane with Captain Linda. It was great because they showed the cargo hold, the cockpit and the Captain talked about the plane and showed take-off and landing. Here’s the link:

A rare moment where Miss 6 was enthusiatic enough to write out some more complicated words about planes as labels for a lapbook we are working on.

I made these tickets in Word Office on the computer so the girls could write in the details such as their name, Date, destination, time of arrival & departure, cost of ticket & flight number. Miss 5 decided she was departing from Canberra and going to Beijing, China for the bargain price of $1400.

A very serious-looking Captain ready and a very hungry passenger on the flight.  We made this box plane to familiarise them with parts of the plane, which we labelled.

But of course, security had to check-in the passenger in first and check her bag for any dangerous goods. They had quite a fun morning.
