Easter break
Can you believe its Easter already? And not being all that thrilled with the commercial emphasis on Easter, bunnies and eggs, we spent just a morning on the more trivial aspects then spent time watching the DVD ‘The Easter Promise’, a great movie for K-6 showing the real and historical story of Good Friday and Easter Sunday – the death & resurrection of Jesus and the meaning behind the egg.
Using tissue paper triangles and glue, the girls layered pieces over each other till the empty egg was covered. This is how they turned out. The pattern for the baskets were from http://www.allfreecrafts.com/easter/paper-basket.shtml
