Attractive magnet experiments

My husband appoints himself chief Lab assistant when it comes to the girls doing science experiments.  He made up a game of magnetic fishing for Maitlyn, found a bargain $5 fishing rod at a store but then had great trouble finding a magnet to catch the fish (paper clip on their mouth).  He finally found a store that stocked them, each magnet was $15 OR he could buy a whole kit with experiments in it and a book for $20 - the girls were delighted with his choice.
